friday things!

it is officially november!! cue the holiday music, red cups, and yummy desserts. i am so extremely excited for this month and the upcoming holiday season! november has been and always will be one of my favorite months of the year because after daylight savings on sunday things start to feel that much cozier. i’m so excited to spend most of the weekends this month relaxing on the couch with holiday music, cozy socks, and a few good reads.

here’s what i’m loving this friday!

one . red cups

Image

[my very first red cup of the season – well documented of course! nothing makes me happier than that little cup of cheer at 8 am! my favorite holiday drink is also officially out as well – skinny peppermint mocha! what’s yours?]

two . michael buble holiday pandora

[absolutely in love with this little monogrammed shop. i will definitely be getting some holiday goodies from here!]

five . sam edelman

[i still need to have these heels. sam edelman himself is coming to ohio state tomorrow for a fashion show benefitting a cause near and dear to my heart – buckeyethon! i’m so excited to play dress up with my best friend and have so much fun at the event!]

have a fabulous weekend and go treat yourself to your favorite holiday drink! you all deserve it!

[newest obsession. i love waking up and reading these emails so i feel educated enough to have an intelligent conversation. note: probably should start reading the paper, any paper.]

[on the hunt for cute stationary and i think this set via paper krush might be a winner! let me know if you know any cute shops that have pretty stationary!!]

enjoy your wednesday, loves!!

hello, again!

hello friends!!

after two weeks of crazy out of control packing and finishing summer work and saying goodbye to friends and family i am back at school! today was my first day of junior year and after hearing all three professors today talk about how there’s no excuses for missing classes because we’re not little underclassmen anymore, reality has set back in. these next two years will be it before i’m thrown into the real world and the real life twentysomething job search….HELP.

on a less intense note, i’m buried under j.crew bags and tupperware boxes filled with pretty things for my new/old apartment (same place, no roomie, hello decorating frenzy)

there will be pictures to come once i have a majority of it decorated and presentable but here’s what’s inspiring the design!

c. wonder

let’s talk preppy.

c. wonder, a new chain of colorful, preppy-inspired clothing, accessories, and decor has popped into my life and i don’t think i’ll ever be the same. dramatic, but really.

the brand undoubtedly resembles tory burch’s attention to bright, bold colors and has a nautical flair. its not an accident that j. christopher burch is the mastermind behind these little pop-up shops.

i stepped into the store and didn’t want to leave. between the nautically decorated ceilings, the nine foot surfboards, and the impressive wall of sunglasses, i was hooked. with my closest c. wonder store being the one in nantucket, i’m definitely thankful they have a website!

have you been to a c.wonder yet? what are your faves? let me know in the comments!!

lilly love

Image

i am very much a crafter. that being said, i am very much ocd when it comes to crafting. i love straight, clean lines and if something gets messy you can bet that i’ll be redoing the entire project.

on a complete whim in michael’s, i decided to buy a large wooden S to decorate and hang in my bedroom. being the lilly pulitzer obsessive that i am, i mod podged different prints onto my S until it was covered.

for a total of $3.00 i think the finished product came out pretty cute! it looks adorable hanging on my wall because my bedroom is neutrally colored so the bright colors definitely add some pop!
